The title says it all. I’m currently in the opening stages of developing a true eBay competitor. For nearly a year I’ve been researching eBay, developing solutions that will change the world of online auctions.
eBay has monopolized the market with 221.6 million users. Though only 81.8 million (37% of the total user database) is considered “active”, it leaves me to wonder how accurate these numbers really are.
From shill bidding to counterfeit items, eBay has been plagued with users who have multiple ids, feedback abuse, reversed PayPal payments, user fraud, scams and schemes for the last few years, which leaves eBay’s company and reputation going down the drain.
Could eBay change this?.. Yes, BUT has eBay?… No. And will they ever?…No.
But instead of eBay securing their system, eBay has increased their fees once again, as well has hide the buyers usernames, during auctions of $200 or higher.
Yes, the information I’m presenting about my website right now is vague, but the future it holds is very bright. If you’re a person, who’s fed up with eBay, I ask that you read and comment on this blog, as well as contact me with any questions or feature requests you may have.
When will the site be up and running??
Get real. Do you know how many people including me have gone down the same path. You are going to need a lot more resources than you and a year of pontificating to succesfully compete with ebay. Stop waffling on about it and do something. Talk’s cheap. Lets see some action

I hope you will have a better account suspension and feedback building features than what eBay is offering now
